Dear Reader,
Let's help Stephen get the word out. For Pennsylvania readers, note info on judicial candidate forum Monday, October 22 in Pittsburgh. See below for details.
Public Relations Campaign for Taken Into Custody
ACFC is continuing to publicize and promote Taken Into Custody: The War Against Fathers, Marriage, and the Family, by ACFC president Stephen Baskerville. We seek to raise at least $2,500 for a campaign of radio and television interviews to publicize the plight of parents and children and to promote shared parenting. With the $2,500 we will engage the services of an expert agency that arranges interviews. As anyone who listens to talk radio knows, the call-interview with a book author forms the centerpiece of many shows.
We have an agency with a solid track record, which will get Baskerville's important book talked about nationally. The investment will pay off in two ways: it will publicize this important and breakthrough book, and it will get shared parenting issues on the airwaves all over the country. Baskerville will reference ACFC and local ACFC affiliates during his interviews.
$2,500 is just $50 per state. One father or mother or grandmother who donates $50 in the next hour will make a difference.
We are asking ACFC members and supporters to contribute to this goal.
There are 2 methods by which you can participate in this publicity campaign:
1. You can contribute directly to this Radio Awareness Campaign by clicking here.
2. Or, for a more personal contribution, you can order a signed copy of Taken Into Custody. You can keep it for yourself, or deliver it to your favorite family court judge. For $75, we will send a copy of the book, signed by Dr. Baskerville, to you or to the judge or other public official of your choosing. For $100 we will send 2 copies, one to you and one to a public official. Part of your contribution will pay for the book, and part will go into the publicity campaign. This will at once spread awareness of our issues and raise funds for further publicity in the media. To choose this option, click here.
Taken Into Custody is the most devastating indictment of the divorce machine ever published. Here Baskerville's great writing power and his knowledge of history and government are fully on display. It's better than any Baskerville you have read -- the full book has many times the emotional power of a single Baskerville article. We are thinking of this as a revolutionary book: like Tom Paine's Common Sense or Rachel Carson's Silent Spring. It promises to catalyze our issues and get them on the front pages. But books don't make revolutions by themselves. They must be publicized and promoted. It will require men and women of conscience to put some dollars into the project. Please join our publicity campaign today. It could make a difference in your children's lives.

Pittsburgh, Pa. Judicial Candidates Forum - October 22, 2007
Tom Tessaro has organized a judicial candidates forum for this Monday evening, October 22, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Smithfield Street United Church of Christ.
Tom sent a questionnaire to all PA judicial candidates running for election on November 6, 2007 asking pointed questions about family law and the candidates opinions regarding child custody, support and domestic violence. A number of interesting responses have been received.
If you're in the Pittsburgh area Monday evening, come out and talk with the candidates who may be your future family court judges. Make it a point to be there, a large turnout demonstrates these issues are important and citizens are concerned about family law reform. Click here for the brochure and further details.
Thanks for your efforts Tom. Kevin Sheahan, head of the Pittsburgh chapter of the National Congress for Fathers and Children will moderate the forum and Michael McCormick, Exec. Dir. of ACFC will be in attendance.

Have a good weekend and thanks for your support of Dr. Baskerville's book. We look forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh.
Sincerely,
ACFC
